Reply to a tender message

You can reply to any message sent by the contracting company. Replies to messages are displayed on the Message Details page in the Story section.
If the message is Confidential, only tender team members with Confidential access can reply to it.
Note Replying to a tender message will mark it as read.
To reply to a tender message:

Navigate to the home page of the tender.
The Your New Messages section shows a register of messages associated with the tender.
You can also click the Messages tab to open the Messages page.

Click the message you want to reply to.
The Message Details page is displayed.

Click Reply.
The Reply to Message page is displayed.

Enter information as required in the relevant fields.
Note Fields marked with an asterisk
are required.

Subject: By default, this is the subject of the message you are replying to prefixed by "RE:". Edit this if required.

Message Body: The text of the message.
Note This is a Rich Text field; use the buttons on the field toolbar to add formatting to the text.

Confidential: Select whether the message can be seen by tender team members with permission to view tender messages who also have Confidential access. Only users with Confidential access can set this option.
If the message you were replying to was set as Confidential, this is selected by default.
If the message is set as Confidential, any attached documents are also set as Confidential.

You can attach documents to the message:

Click the Add Attachments button.
The Add Documents window is displayed.

Click Choose Files to select the documents to add. You can also drag and drop documents from Windows Explorer.
Warning If there are problems with any of the selected documents, you cannot upload them. Errors are indicated by a red warning triangle
. Move the mouse over the icon to see an explanation of the error, and make the correction before trying to upload the documents.
You can click
to remove a single document, or click Remove All to remove all of them.

Edit the Names of the documents if required.

Click Add x Files to upload the documents to AVEVA Contract Risk Management.
Progress bars display the progress of the document uploads. If the uploads are taking too long, you can click Cancel to stop the upload of any documents which have not yet successfully been uploaded. This button is only visible when there are pending uploads.

If any of the document uploads failed, you can click Retry X Failed to attempt the uploads again.

Click Close once all the uploads are complete or cancelled.
The documents you have added are displayed. You can open the attachments by clicking the name or remove them by clicking
.
Note If the message is set as Confidential, the attached documents are also set as Confidential and display the
icon.

Click Send.
A warning message is displayed.

Click OK.
The new message is displayed. It is shown in bold in the Story section.
