Edit custom field values

The values of custom fields can be edited once a communication is no longer in Draft (i.e. has been sent/published) ONLY if the custom field was configured in the communication template to allow this.

Users with the following contract roles can edit communication custom field values:

  • Contractor Representative

  • Contractor Administrator

  • Contractor Information Management - only communications which do not have financial values, confidential custom fields or confidential documents

    Warning If a confidential document is added to a communication that a Contractor Information Management user was previously able to edit, they will no longer have permission to make changes to the communication.

To edit custom field values for a communication:

  1. On the communication register, click the Title of the communication you want to view the details for.

    The Communication Details page is displayed.

  2. Click fa-sort-down on the Details tab and select Edit Custom Field Answers from the menu. If there are no custom fields which can be edited, this option is unavailable.

    The Edit Communication Custom Fields page is displayed, with the details of the communication shown as read-only.

  3. Update the values of the custom fields.

    Note Custom fields which cannot be edited are shown as read-only.

  4. Click Save to save the changes.

    The Communication Details page is displayed.
