Ribbons

The application contains ribbons with groups of functions organized in four different tabs.

The Home tab contains all functions for nesting activities, organized from left to right to reflect the work-flow of the nesting activity.

The Manage tab is used to manage data, general functions to support data base management, set-up of machines in the work-shop, set-up data to control the nesting activities and the handling of raw materials.

The Tools tab contains functions to show (or hide) the manufacturing tree browser, flexible explorers and the command window. It also contains functions to arrange windows, check start sequence and check NC data.

The flexible explorer functions are fully described in AVEVA E3D™ / Software Customization / PML customization User Guide / Use of Flexible Explorer Control.

AVEVA has a general recommendation to make flexible explorers definitions as simple as possible to minimize the risk of performance issues. The installation of this software contains a good example of usage, to present an explorer with parts that have not been nested.

The View tab contains functions to set-up and manage the 3D view and nesting functions to visualize status of manufacturing parts in the 3D view.
