Create Nest

Activating the function will display a dialog that can be used to define a new nest, plate or profile. The dialog requires a name of the nest and a selection of raw material and machine to be used. In case of plate nesting, the keyed in material sizes and steel qualities can be defined. The normal case with production nesting is otherwise to select an available material, from the catalogue if ERM materials are not used or from assigned ERM materials. ERM materials can be assigned ether to a specific unit (for example a block) or to the complete project within a project pool of materials.

The Create Nest function can also be activated by the shortcut keys Ctrl-n.
