Material Exchange

A setup can be made to allow a part to be nested on a plate or a bar with different, normally higher, steel grade quality or on a plate part nested on a thicker plate. The follow up of parts nested like this can be done using the flexible explorer.

The setup of material exchange is done in the file GradeThicknessExchange.xml found in the installation folder.

The structure of the Setup xml file is illustrated below.

The ‘value’ in the illustration above is to be given when creating the setup file. Quality name and exchange with is steel grade names, nominal thickness is the thickness of plate parts that may be considered and interval values are allowed deviation from this part thickness.
