AVEVA™ Plate and Bar Nesting

Grips

Picking a part will display grips on this part, a rectangle that handles move operations and a double arrow symbol that is used for rotations.

Indicating the move grip once will highlight it in red and connect the part to the cursor. The part can now be moved freely and placed by a click in a new position.

Indicating the rotation grip once will highlight it in red and the part can be rotated dynamically or a rotation angle can be keyed in as a canvas command.

In profile nests, rotation arrows are only visible in case rotation is allowed, one for each type of allowed rotation (end-end and up-down).

Click on a rotation grip and the rotation performs directly.

The move grip allows movement of a profile within the raw bar and the profile part may be placed in a different order, however, profiles are always nested to the left end of the raw bar. There are special rules that can be activated in the machine setup which may affect when placing a small part at the end of a raw bar.

Part, plates and profiles, can also be moved into another nest (in another window) if thickness and quality control allows it and if machine restrictions do not stop this move.
