Installing a Self-Signed Certificate and Key Pair

To install self-signed OPC UA compliant certificate/key pair

1. Download the Sample Applications file from the OPC UA Foundation website: http://www.opcfoundation.org/

   The download is an archive file: opc-ua-1.02-.net-sample-applications-setup-336.0-20150630.zip.

   Note: You will need to register for an account to download the package.

   

2. Unzip the download archive to extract the OPC UA Sample Applications 1.02.msi, then right-click the file name, and click Install on the context menu.

3. Accept the default settings. The OPC UA sample applications typically install to the following directory:

   C:\Program Files (x86)\OPC Foundation\UA 1.02\Sample Applications

   The sample applications include sample servers, sample clients, and a certificate generator.
