View Bookmarks

The Bookmarks feature allows you to navigate through PDF documents using the bookmark structure built into the file. Bookmarks provide quick access to specific sections, chapters, or pages, helping you find information faster.

When bookmarks are available, a Bookmarks button appears in the viewer toolbar. Selecting this button opens the bookmarks panel, where you can browse and navigate directly to bookmarked content.

The Bookmarks feature is available to anyone viewing a PDF document that contains embedded bookmarks. No setup or configuration is required.

Note: The bookmark feature is currenty available only for PDFs.

Use bookmarks

To open and use bookmarks:

1. Open a PDF document that contains bookmarks.

2. Select the Bookmarks icon in the viewer toolbar.

   The bookmarks pane opens and displays the document's bookmark structure.

3. Expand any bookmark sections to view nested bookmarks.

4. Select a bookmark to navigate directly to the linked content.

What happens when you select a Bookmark

When you select a bookmark, the viewer automatically navigates to the associated location in the document. Depending on how the bookmark was created, the viewer may also:

• Jump to a specific page.

• Adjust the zoom level.

• Position the document view at a specific region on the page.

• Apply page-fit settings to display content as intended.

Troubleshooting

If bookmarks are not appearing or are not working as expected:

• Confirm that the document is a PDF file.

• Verify that bookmarks exist by opening the PDF in another PDF reader and checking its bookmark panel.

• Reload the document in the viewer and try again.

• If the issue persists, contact support and provide a sample PDF for further investigation.
