Apply Filters

After selecting the classes, you can apply filters to narrow down the results. Filters can be applied on attributes or statuses. You can also provide a filter through a PML expression.
Note: In the Class selections area, the classes for which a filter is applied are displayed in red.
The following image shows the <Element Type> class filters area.

Note: The Edit Filter and Remove Filter icons enable you to edit and remove the selected filters respectively. For information about how to perform these tasks, see Modify a Configuration.
Attribute Filter
To add an attribute filter:

Click the + icon to expand the Attribute Filter section.

Highlight the class in the Class selections area. The available attributes of the class are displayed in the Attribute list.
Note: If you want to apply the same filter for multiple classes, you can highlight multiple classes by holding CTRL. In such cases, the attributes applicable for all the highlighted classes are displayed in the Attribute list.

Select an attribute from the Attribute list.

Select a condition from the Condition list.

Type a value for the Value box.

Click Add Filter. The filter is added.

Repeat steps 2 through 6 to add more attribute filters.

Status Filter
To add a status filter:

Click the + icon to expand the Status Filter section.

Highlight the class in the Class selections area. The available statuses for the class are displayed in the Status Definition list.

Select a status from the Status Definition list.

Select a condition from the Condition list.

Type a value for the Status Value box.

Click Add Filter. The filter is added.

Repeat steps 2 through 6 to add more status filters on other element types.

PML Expression Filter
To add a filter through a PML expression:

Click the + icon to expand the PML Expression Filter section.

Highlight the class in the Class selections area.

Type an expression in the box.

Click Add filter. The filter is added.

Repeat steps 2 through 4 to add more filters using PML expressions for other element types.
Note: You can also use PML regular expressions to provide the filter. For more information about using regular expressions in the gateway, see Provide Filters and Mappings Using Regular Expressions.
