You can use the Settings dialog box to specify the common export options that will be applicable to all exports irrespective of the configuration. The gateway uses the export options specified in the Other tab of the Settings dialog box during the export.
To specify the common export options:
-
Click Settings.
-
Click the Other tab.
-
In the Context Configuration area, do the following based on your requirements:

-
Enter a context name in the Context Name box. You can use the context name to specify a context for the exported data. You can provide a nested context by providing the highest context first followed by a "+" or "|" symbol and so on. For example, ROOT+PARENT+CHILD (or ROOT|PARENT|CHILD). By default, the context is PROJECTCONTEXT.
Note: The Context Name box cannot be empty and must not contain white spaces.
-
For the File Suffix box, enter a file suffix. Based on the file suffix you provide, AVEVA™ Asset Information Management picks up the relevant XSLT file to process the exported EIWM file. However, before you specify a file suffix, make sure that the relevant XSLT file is present with your AVEVA™ Asset Information Management server. By default, the file suffix is _null which means that AVEVA™ Asset Information Management will process the EIWM file without any XSLT. For more information about XSLT files, refer to the AVEVA™ Asset Information Management Workhub and Dashboard Installation Guide.
Note: The File Suffix box cannot be empty and must not contain invalid characters for file names (\ / : * ? " < > |) or white spaces.
-
Select the Generate 'folder.vnet' file check box if you want a folder.vnet file to be generated. The folder.vnet file contains information about the class in which the generated SVG file must be placed and the context in which the object must be saved. By default, this check box is cleared.
-
Select the Generate 'trigger.start' file check box if the output files (EIWM and SVG files) of the exported elements must be picked automatically by the Import Controller for processing in AVEVA™ Asset Information Management. By default, the check box is cleared. If you select the check box, make sure that the staging area of the output files is listed as a watch folder in the Import Controller. For more information about the Import Controller, refer to the AVEVA™ Asset Information Management Workhub and Dashboard Installation Guide.

In the Performance Settings area, do the following based on your requirements:
-
Select the Optimise Memory Usage option, if you want to reduce excessive memory usage and improve the performance of the Gateway when it exports large datasets.
-
Under Grids and Database Views section, Partition threshold and Rows per partition has pre-defined values to improve memory consumption while publishing large grids and database views. These values are configurable. If the published grid or database view row count exceeds Partitions threshold then, gateway will export rows data in parts and each part contains maximum number of rows defined with rows per partition property.
