Create a Configuration

This section describes the high-level process to create a configuration.

To create a configuration:

1. On the Element Selection and Filters page of the AVEVA AIM Export Setup window, click the Add (+) icon to create a new configuration.

   Note: Alternatively, you can load one of the sample configurations and then modify it according to your needs. For information on how to load a configuration, see Load a Configuration and for information on how to modify a configuration, see Modify a Configuration.

2. Select the required elements and apply the required filters. Click the Next icon to go to the next page. For information on how to select elements, see Select Elements, and for information on how to apply filters, see Apply Filters.

3. On the Element Type Mappings page, provide the mappings for the EIWM and SVG files, and then click the Next icon. For information on how to provide the mappings for the EIWM and SVG files, see Mapping Element Types.

4. On the Presentation Settings page, provide the presentation settings, and then click the Next icon. For information on how to provide presentation settings, see Specify Presentation Settings.

5. On the Export Options page, select the export options for the configuration and click Save. For more information on the export options, see Setting Export Options.

6. On the Save Configuration dialog box, type a name for the configuration in the Name box and then click OK. The configuration is created.

   Note: The configuration name cannot contain white spaces and special characters.
