Modify a Configuration

After creating and saving a configuration, you can modify the configuration.
To modify the configuration:

Load the configuration you want to modify. For information on how to load a configuration, see Load a Configuration.

After the configuration is loaded, perform one or more of the following procedures depending on what needs to be modified.
Note: To delete a configuration, select the configuration in the Load Configuration list and then click the Delete icon. You cannot delete the default configuration. However, using the Delete icon, you can reset it to the original state.

After you make the required changes based on your need, click Save to save the configuration. The configuration is now modified.
Modify Class Selection
To modify the selection of classes:

If you want to add classes, see Select Classes.

If you want to delete any classes,clear the check box for the corresponding class.
Modify Filters
For information about how to apply new filters, see Apply Filters.
To modify existing filters:

In the Class selections area, highlight the class for which the filter needs to be modified. The list of filters applicable to the class are displayed.

Select the row of the filter which needs to be modified, and then click the Edit Filter icon. The filter is loaded into the Attribute Filter, Status Filter or PML Expression Filter area.
Note: If you want to modify a filter that has been added to multiple classes, you can do so using the Select Classes with Same Filter icon. Select the filter and click the Select Classes with Same Filter icon. All the classes where the filter is applied are highlighted in the Class selections area.

Modify the filter based on your need and then click Update Filter. The updated filter is displayed in the list of filters.
Note: To delete a filter, highlight the corresponding row and then click the Delete Filter icon. If the filter has been applied to multiple classes, the filter is deleted from all the classes.
Modify Item Mappings
To modify the item mappings, do the following based on your requirements:

If you want to modify the mapping for the File node, see Map Items for Model Data.
Note: If you want to delete the mapping for the File node, select the root of the tree File, right-click and select Remove. The mapping for the File node along with all its members is deleted.

If you want to modify the mapping for the Object ID, see Map Object ID.
Note: If you want to delete the mapping for the Object ID, select the root of the tree Object, right-click and select Remove. The mapping for the Object ID along with all its members is deleted. However, remember that an element without an Object ID is not exported.

If you want to modify the attributes for the classes, select the attribute in the tree and modify it according to your need. For more information, see Add Attributes to Classes.
Note: If you want to delete an attribute, select the attribute in the tree, right-click and select Remove. However, remember that an attribute that is not mapped is not exported.

If you want to modify the conditions for the attributes, select the condition in the tree and modify it according to your need. For more information, see Add IF and FOR EACH Statements.
Note: If you want to delete a condition, select the condition in the tree, right-click and select Remove. The condition along with all its members is deleted.

If you want to change the presentation mappings, see Specify Presentation Settings.

If you want to change the mappings for reports, see Map Items for Reports.

If you want to change the output formats for reports, see Select Output Format for Reports.
Modify General Information
To modify the general information:

On the General tab, modify the description, logging and staging area details based on your requirements. For more information, see Provide General Information.
Modify Common Settings for Export
To modify the common export options:

On the Other tab of the Settings dialog box, modify the common export options based on your requirements. For more information, see Specify Common Settings for Export.
Note: Remember that the common export options that are specified in the Other tab of the Settings dialog box at the time of performing the export are used by the gateway for performing the export.
