The Class Mappings page on the the Drawings tab enable you to define the mappings for various attributes of the selected classes. The mappings specify how the attributes of AVEVA™ E3D Design must map to the same of AVEVA™ Asset Information Management after they are imported into AVEVA™ Asset Information Management. You can add to, modify or remove the mappings based on your need. For information on how to modify the mappings, see Modify a Configuration.
From the class list, select the class for which you want to define mappings. If there are any default mappings available for the class, the same are displayed in the EIWM tab.

If you want to add your own mappings, then right-click anywhere on the empty space in the EIWM Object Mapping area. The options to add an IF condition, Object ID and automap are available. For information on how to add an IF or a FOR-EACH condition, see Add Conditions for Attributes, and for information on how to add an object and map it, see Map Object ID.
The Auto Map option displays all the default mappings available for the class.
Note: The EIWM Object Mapping area supports multi-selection and drag-and-drop operations. Using the multi-selection feature, you can select multiple nodes of the same level by holding the CTRL or SHIFT key and delete them by right-clicking and selecting Remove. Using the drag-and-drop feature, you can drag a node from one location to another. However, multi-selection together with drag-and-drop is currently not supported.
You can perform the following tasks under the Class Mappings link:
This section describes the procedures to perform these tasks.
Note: You can also use regular expressions to provide the mappings. For more information about using regular expressions in the gateway, see Using Regular Expressions for Filters and Mappings.
