material balance

The current or historical quantity of material associated with an equipment item. This balance is equal to the total quantity of the material that moved into the equipment less the total quantity of the material that moved out of the equipment. Depending on the equipment, it can contain more than one type of material. AVEVA Production Management can record a material balance for each type of material that is ever placed in a particular item of equipment.
