PI Interfaces

Software components that collect data from external systems, devices, or applications and send that data to the PI Data Archive. They run on an interface node, gather values using source-specific protocols or APIs, and convert those values into a format the PI System can store. PI Interfaces are configured through tools such as the PI Interface Configuration Utility and remain a core data-ingestion method for the PI System.
