    • Glossary

A user-defined set of plant components, such as plant areas, machine names, and tags associated with a particular machine or process. The private namespace works in the same way as the public namespace, except that the private namespace is not available to all users of the Historian server. The private namespace is defined by a user of the Historian. The hierarchical contents of the private namespace can be exposed in a directory tree of an application, but will only be visible to the user who created it. See also namespace, system namespace, public namespace, browser.
