AVEVA™ Integration Service

AVEVA Unified Engineering

To configure AVEVA™ Integration Service (Service) for AVEVA™ Unified Engineering:

  1. Start Integration Settings Editor.

  2. From the Select Product list, select the product AVEVA Unified Engineering.

  3. Select the module for Module Name list.

    • AVEVA Design (Model)

    • AVEVA Catalogue (Paragon)

    • AVEVA Draw (Draw)

    • AVEVA Engineering (Engineer)

  4. Click Add Configuration. A dialog box which contains AVEVA Unified Engineering as the data source is displayed.

    Note: Depending on the AVEVA™ Unified Engineering installation, it is available as value for Select Product.

    In the Datasource Name box, specify a name for the data source.

    Note: The data source name must be unique and must not contain special characters other than _ (underscore), - (hyphen), and space.

  5. If your AVEVA™ Engineering version supports CONNECT authentication, do one of the following:

    • If you want to connect using a project user, select Connect as AVEVA Project User.

    • If you want to connect using CONNECT authentication, select Connect using AVEVA Connect.

  6. Click Get Projects. The list of available projects is added to the Projects dropdown list.

  7. Select the required project, provide the username, and select the required MDB.

  8. Click Save to save the data source.

    Note: User can add AVEVA Design (Model), AVEVA Catalogue (Paragon), AVEVA Draw (Draw), AVEVA Engineering (Engineer) module.

When the user adds/gets data using the AVEVA Integration Service, product license checkout happens.

  • For Engineering AVEVA Unified Engineering -1D user (Hybrid Cloud) FLEX-UENG-102

  • For Model/Paragon/Draw AVEVA Unified Engineering -3D user (Hybrid Cloud) FLEX-UENG-103

You have an option to improve the performance of the service by keeping the connection alive. See Keep Connection Alive for Dabacon Data Sources.

Generate a token using Credential Manager

Run the following commands at the command prompt (run as Administrator).

  1. ue -tool:credentialmanager

  2. Select "Unified Engineering" and click on Generate

  3. Please provide valid credentials in the CONNECT popup window

    This will generate a token in the path (...\AppData\Local\.aveva\webview2)
