Licensing

AVEVA™ Integration Service (Service) Local no longer requires a license to operate. However, the Service needs to verify the licenses for the data sources that you want to connect to. Therefore, a license check is performed when you want to add a data source and connect to a data source to read data.

AIS CONNECT Service, at the moment do not consume any flex credit, this is free to use. You must contact AVEVA Support to enable/subscribe to service.

To avoid conflicts during the license verification of the data source example Unified Engineering, the license variable of Unified Engineering/Data source, AIS must be configured to same value.

Note: If you are using AVEVA's Licensing as a Service (LaaS), the CONNECT Sign In dialog box is displayed while starting the Service to generate access tokens for data source administration. However, a license check for the AVEVA Integration Service is not performed and only token generation is done. This token is used to interact with Dabacon platform product example Unified Engineering.
