AVEVA™ Integration Service

Notification Client

Through Notification Client, you or your users can verify the connection of Notification Service with AVEVA™ Integration Service (Service) and the client. The interface of Notification Client is as follows:

The description of the elements is as follows:

  • Notification Service Endpoint: URL of Notification Service.

  • Integration Service Endpoint: URL of Integration Service.

  • Test Service: Tests the connectivity to the Service.

  • As a Project User: Enables users to connect to the data source as a Project user. When you connect as a Project user, your project user credentials are used for sending and receiving notifications.

  • As a Connect User: Enables users to connect to the data source as a user of CONNECT. When you connect as an CONNECT user, your CONNECT user credentials are used for sending and receiving notifications. This option is available only for those data sources that are configured using CONNECT. For more information about the data sources supporting the CONNECT authentication, see Data Sources Supporting CONNECT Authentication.

  • Get Notification: Retrieves the notifications from the Service to which it is subscribed.

    Note: While retrieving the notifications, the date/time of the notification is converted to local date/time of the computer retrieving the notification.

  • Publish Notification: Opens another form where the publisher can provide the notification details and then publish the notification.

  • Filter Expression: A box for entering the filter expression for the display of notifications. The filter expression must be in the following format: <column name> = '<column value>'. For example, StatusName = 'Active'

  • Update Notification: Updates the notification.

  • Delete Notification: Deletes the notification.

  • Exit: Exits the Notification Client window.

  • Notification Messages: Displays the notification messages.
