The procedure to view the schema varies slightly for tables and unit operations.
To view the schema for tables:
-
Start Integration Client.
-
Test the connectivity. For information on how to test the connectivity, see Test Connectivity.
Note: If you want to change the location of the Service, see Set the Location of Service.
-
After the connection has been made successfully, click Get Available Products, and then select the required module for the Select Module list.
Note: If you have selected AVEVA PRO/II Simulation or AVEVA Process Simulation as the module, see the procedure to view the schema of a simulation. If you have selected ETAP as the module, see the procedure to view the schema of ETAP data source.
-
Select the required configuration from the grid.
Note: For Dabacon products, if you have set the Authentication as User for the data source, you must provide the credentials of a General user account. Enter the username and password and click Validate User. If the Authentication has been set as Connect, you must provide the CONNECT credentials. You can proceed to the next step only after the validation is successful and data is retrieved based on the Project User you are mapped to. For more information about authentication, see Authentication in Integration Settings Editor, and for more information about General, Project and CONNECT user accounts, see User Account Types in AVEVA Integration Service.
-
Click Get Tables to view the list of available tables.
-
From the list of available tables, select the table for which you want to view the schema, and click Get Schema. The schema for the data source is displayed in the Data Viewer window.
Note: The units of measure for the attributes within the schema are not displayed on the Data Viewer window. To view the units of measure for an attribute, you must export the schema to an XML file by clicking Export to XML.
If you have selected AVEVA PRO/II Simulation or AVEVA Process Simulation as the module, the following procedure is applicable for viewing the schema of the unit operations.
To view the schema of a simulation:
-
Start Integration Client.
-
Test the connectivity. For information on how to test the connectivity, see Test Connectivity.
Note: If you want to change the location of the Service, see Set the Location of Service.
-
After the connection has been made successfully, click Get Available Products, and then select the required module for the Select Module list.
-
Select the required configuration from the grid.
-
Click Get Schema. The schema for the data source is displayed in the Data Viewer window. If the schema contains multiple unit operations, the schema for all unit operations is displayed in a tabbed view. The following image provides an example of a schema for an AVEVA™ PRO/II Simulation data source.

-
If you want to view the schema for a specific unit operation, specify the name of the simulation in the Table Name/Query/Element/Simulation name box and the required unit operation in the Filter Expression/Attributes/PML Parameters/UOP Name box and then click Get Schema. The schema for the specified unit operation is displayed in the Data Viewer window.
Note: For an AVEVA™ Process Simulation data source, you must also specify the name of the snapshot in the Snapshot name box to view the schema.
You can specify more than one unit operation in the Filter Expression/Attributes/UOP Name box using a colon (:).
Note: For an AVEVA™ Process Simulation data source, the unit operations must be prepended by the library name as follows: LibraryName.UOP1:LiraryName.UOP2 and so on.
The following image provides an example for an AVEVA™ Process Simulation data source.

Note: The units of measure for the attributes within the schema are not displayed on the Data Viewer window. To view the units of measure for an attribute, you must export the schema to an XML file by clicking Export to XML.
If you have selected ETAP as the module, the following procedure is applicable for viewing the schema of the ETAP data source.
To view the schema for the ETAP data source:
-
Start Integration Client.
-
Test the connectivity. For information on how to test the connectivity, see Test Connectivity.
Note: If you want to change the location of the Service, see Set the Location of Service.
-
After the connection has been made successfully, click Get Available Products, and then select ETAP for the Select Module list.
-
Select the required configuration from the grid.
-
Click Get Schema. The schema for the ETAP data source is displayed in the Data Viewer window. If the schema contains multiple tables, the schema for all tables is displayed in a tabbed view.
If you want to view the schema for a specific table, specify the name of the table in the Table Name/Query/Element/Simulation name box and then click Get Schema. The schema for the specified table is displayed in the Data Viewer window. You can specify more than one table in the box using a colon (:).
