Launch AIS capability from CONNECT portal

AVEVA CONNECT provides a Launch capability for every subscribed and activated service. Once AVEVA Integration Service (AIS) has been subscribed and activated for an Account or Folder, it appears as a service tile on the CONNECT portal dashboard. Clicking the Launch button on this tile opens the AIS Web Administration (Web Admin) interface directly in the user's web browser, without requiring a separate URL.

Access — Who Can Launch

Access to the AIS launch capability is permission controlled. Only users who have been assigned the Service User – Data Source Admin role on the AIS Service within CONNECT can launch and interact with the AIS Web UI. Other user roles may see the AIS service tile on the CONNECT portal but will not be able to open or use the Web Administration interface.

PERMISSION REQUIRED: Only users with the Service User – Data Source Admin role assigned on the AIS Service can launch the AIS Web UI from the CONNECT portal. Contact your CONNECT Administrator to have this role assigned.

Steps to Launch AIS from CONNECT Portal

1. Navigate to the AVEVA CONNECT portal and sign in with your credentials.

2. On the CONNECT portal home dashboard or Services tab, locate the AVEVA Integration Service tile.

   The tile is visible to all users who have access to the Account or Folder where AIS is enabled.

3. Click the AVEVA Integration Service tile. This button is active only for users with the Data Source Admin role.

   

   The AIS Web Administration interface opens in a new browser tab. The Web UI is the primary interface for managing Data Sources for AIS.
