Annotating text on a schematic

This topic describes how you can add, move, or change text on a schematic.

Add text to a schematic

  1. Open an Isolation list and select an Isolation point.

  2. On the Isolations Points tab, click Schematics view.

  3. On the Schematics toolbar, open the Annotation menu, and select the Text Annotation icon.

  4. Place the cursor on the schematic and type text.

  5. Edit the text properties, as needed.

Move text on a schematic

  1. In the Schematics view, expand the Annotation menu, and choose Select Annotation icon.

  2. Select the text box, hold the left mouse button, and drag text box to new position.

  3. Select Save changes to save the new position.

    Before moving the box again, be sure to click outside the text box. Do this between each attempt to move the box.

    Note: If you don't click outside the box or save the position, you might encounter the edit dialog without intending to.

    Edit text on a schematic

    1. In the Schematics view, expand the Annotation menu, and choose Select Annotation icon.

    2. Select the text box. Click again inside the text box to open the Edit Text Annotation dialog.

    3. Edit the text, as needed. Before saving, be sure to click outside the text box.

    4. Select Save changes to save the new text.

      Note: If you don't click outside the box before saving, the text changes will not be saved.
