Set up the Communication Drivers SDK in Visual Studio 2022

  1. Download the Communication Drivers SDK installation media and locate Setup-OISDK.msi.

  2. Double-click Setup-OISDK.msi to install the SDK .

  3. After the installation is complete, go to C: > Program Files(x86) > Wonderware > OI-Server > OI-SDK > Bin.

  4. Double-click the OISDKExtension.vsix.

    The VSIX Installer appears.

  5. If a Visual Studio 2022 package is installed on your machine, select Install to download the Visual Studio extension.

After the extension is installed, you can develop your own Communication Driver. Refer to Develop a Communication Driver for more details.
