Configure state alarms

Select the Attribute you want to configure in the Attributes List, then click State alarm in the configuration pane to add a State Alarm Feature to a Boolean data type Attribute. Use the following table to configure the State Alarm feature.

Runtime Access (Supervisory, User, Read-Only, None)

Enable state alarm

Alarmed

If enabled, the alarm will be triggered based on the Attribute state. Available only for Boolean data type Attributes.

Active alarm state

ActiveAlarmState

The state of the Attribute when the state alarm is triggered.

Alarm message

DescAttrName

The name of the attribute (within the same object) to be used as the alarm message. The attribute you specify must be of type String or InternationalizedString, with a maximum string length of 329 characters. If no attribute is specified, the Attribute description is used as the alarm message.

Priority

A numeric value for the urgency of the alarm. Valid values are 1 through 999, with 1 being the most urgent.

Alarm for Attribute

AlarmSourceAttr

The fully qualified or relative name of an external reference attribute. If used, the linked attribute functions as the source for alarm data coming from the PLC. The default value is "me.<AttributeName>".

Time deadband

The time, in seconds, that must elapse after the Attribute value exceeds an alarm limit before the alarm is triggered.
