Important: By default, AVEVA™ XR applications require an installed sound device on the system.

If you run an XR application on a system with no sound device, this could cause the application to fail. To enable XR software to work on a system with no installed sound device, you will need to set the Platform.sound.enable parameter to false in each Application Configuration File (config.xml) before being able to execute the project.

To turn off sound in a project

  1. In XR Studio, click Properties on the toolbar.

  2. Click Edit next to config.xml.

  3. On the File Properties tab, expand Platform, and then expand sound.

  4. Disable the sound parameter by clearing enable.
