Section tool in Screen mode
The Section tool enables you to cut out sections of a 3D scene.
-
When Section tool is enabled, it features a context menu with a hide button to show and hide planes.
-
Clicking and dragging the section plane moves the section tool around, cutting up the model.
-
The Section and Clip tools are mutually exclusive. Only one tool can be active at a time, so when one tool is selected, the other is auto closed.

Cut away sections
-
Select an item with a valid tag.

Press the Section button on the toolbar. A cube, called the clip box, appears next to the tag item.

-
Select any face of the cube by using the left mouse button.

The cube shows a highlight when the mouse hovers over one of the cube faces.

-
Hide the planes by pressing the Hide button with the mouse (or use Q on keyboard). The Hide button is a toggle button to show and hide the clip box.

-
Press the Section button on the toolbar to exit the Section tool.
