Annotations

The AVEVA™ XR Engage Template provides a set of annotation tools for you to take notes inside the XR Viewer.

Use annotations in the model

1. Click Annotation on the toolbar to activate Annotations mode.

   

2. When Annotations is activated, select an annotation tool from the annotation menu.

   

3. After selecting annotation tool, click on the scene to draw the selected annotation at the mouse position. By default, the drawn annotation will be in edit mode. Adjust the annotation as needed and confirm with a mouse click outside the drawn annotation.

   

Erase an annotation

• Erase a drawn annotation by selecting Erase mode from the annotation menu and clicking on the annotation to delete.

  

Cancel an annotation

4. Click Cancel on the annotation menu. If annotations are drawn, the Cancel dialog box will display.

5. Click OK to confirm the cancel operation.

Confirm an annotation

• Click Finish on the annotation menu. This operation will save annotations as a snapshot in Collections.

Loading a snap that is saved from annotations will restore to annotations mode. Already drawn annotations cannot be deleted, however new annotations can be drawn and edited.
