The Point-to-Point measure tool measures the distance between two scene object points.
-
When the tool is activated, a distance indicator displays over the mouse position that enables you to identify a picked point and its distance from the observer.
-
The Point-to-Point line measurement displays on the center of the measurement line along with the measurement name.
Note: Measurement labels are hidden when the camera is moved away from measurement line and appears again when the camera moves close to the measurement line.

Guidelines about point-to-point measurements
When making a point-to-point measurement, both the start point and end point must be in valid locations.
It is not valid to:
-
Click on an existing measured line segment.
-
Place either start point or end point in the sky.
Additionally, each single line measure is paired with its respective axis components.
These axis components appear only when the measure is selected. To streamline the measure editing process, the axis components are temporarily hidden while dragging a point. After the editing is completed, the components are updated and automatically redisplay.
