Datastore and Database integration with Databricks Unity Catalog

AVEVA AIM enables information of any type and from any source to be stored and viewed in a secure environment. Related information is automatically linked together to add context, which can be navigated, visualized and reported upon to provide a single environment to view and understand information from multiple systems, providing a single source of truth across the asset lifecycle.

By completing this integration, you can:

• Access AIM Reporting data directly from Databricks.

• Use Databricks Unity Catalog to manage and govern data access.

• Ensure your Databricks users only see approved reporting data.

• Analyze AIM data using Databricks SQL and notebooks.

• The integration uses Lakehouse Federation, allowing Databricks to securely query your Azure SQL-based AIM Reporting Database without copying data.
