AVEVA Connect is a web portal from which you can launch and manage your integrated applications in a unified way. Underneath the web portal is a set of services and libraries which registered applications use to integrate with the cloud platform and with each other.

AVEVA™ BI Gateway

BI Gateway is a web application made available in AVEVA Connect as a solution.

The AVEVA™ BI Gateway application allows you to build a BI Gateway Model by creating data sources, dimensions and measures, and configuring each of those objects. The application also displays the relationships between the objects using a dynamic and interactive graphical representation of all the objects in the model. You can export the BI Gateway model to a file; similarly, you can import a model from a previously generated model file. Finally, you can deploy your BI Gateway model so that the cloud Service starts executing your configured model to save data into the BI Gateway Datastore.

Note: This version of the document applies to AVEVA BI Gateway. AVEVA BI Gateway does not include all the Data Adapters, Configurator, and Analytics Client Data Source Generator, which are available in the on-premises offering.
