Gas quality records displayed in the Advanced Database Editor (ADE) are primarily host-calculated or connected to a remote. Host-calculated gas quality records calculate hourly, daily, or sampled values from the defined input sources, and those values are sent to AVEVA Measurement Advisor. When connected to a remote, configuration information from RealTime can be downloaded by the device, and information from the device can be uploaded to RealTime.
Gas quality records are created and configured in AVEVA Measurement Advisor. Only fields specific to the RealTime operation are available for editing in ADE. As such, a number of basic ADE functions on the Gas Quality Table Edit (for example, creating a new record) are unavailable.
Note: Each gas quality record is connected to a meter. In the case of a zone gas quality, it can be connected to multiple meters. However, only 999 meters can be connected to any one zone gas quality.
In addition, gas quality records that are not host-calculated and not connected to a remote can be made available to RealTime. The information available in AVEVA Enterprise SCADA, in turn, can be made available to other, third-party applications. The records listed in ADE can also be displayed in easy eXtended Operator Station (ezXOS).
For more information about displaying gas qualities in ezXOS, refer to the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Gas Controller documentation.
Accessing the gasquality Table Edit is similar to accessing the gasmeter Table Edit.
