Use the Contract Values tab in the gascontract Row Edit dialog box to configure associated values for volume, accumulation, pressure, and heating value sources.

Refer to the table below for field descriptions and instructions on how to configure the editable fields.

Configuring the various fields on the Contract Values tab of the gascontract Row Edit

Item

Description

Nomination Volume/Energy

Select the input value type (VOLUME or ENERGY) for the nomination from the dropdown menu.

Once the nomination type is selected, either the Input Values for Energy or Input Values For Volume parameters will be enabled.

Energy Path

Select (…) to select the table, record, and field that supplies the current energy flow rate information to the gascontract record.

Notes: If you are entering information into the Energy Path field, you must also enter a value in the Energy Accum Path field. If you do not supply information in both fields, errors will be logged and alarms will be generated. Typically, analog or rate points will supply this information but any double precision floating point field stored in the RealTime database (RTDB) can be used.

Information about flow can be gathered using the Energy Path and the Energy Accum Path, or it can be gathered using a flowtotal record. If you have entered details in the Energy Path and the Energy Accum Path fields, you do not need to supply information in the Flow Total fields (or vice versa).

Energy Accum Path

Select (…) and select the name of the table, record, and field that supplies the total amount of gas energy that has flowed for the gas day.

Notes: If you are entering information into the Energy Path field, you must also enter a value for the Energy Accum Path field. If you do not supply information in both fields, errors will be logged and alarms will be generated. Typically, analog or rate records will supply this information but any double precision floating point field stored in the RTDB can be used.

Information about flow can be gathered using a Energy Path and the Energy Accum Path, or it can be gathered using a flowtotal record. If you have entered details in the Energy Path and the Energy Accum Path fields, you do not need to supply information in the Flow Total fields (or vice versa).

Energy Flow Total (Flow Rate)

Select (...) and select the name of the associated flow total from the FlowTotalConfig Select dialog box. If Energy Flow Total (Acc) is not configured, the Energy Flow Total (Flow rate) serves the following purpose: the current value information it reports is used as the flow rate.

Note:The current energy value is retrieved from totalBlocks[0].curval. The integrated volume accumulation value is retrieved from totalBlocks[0].intg.day.current.

Information about flow can be gathered using a flowtotal record, or it can be supplied by a path. If you have entered details in the Energy Flow Total (flow rate) and, optionally, the Energy Flow Total (Acc) fields, you do not need to supply path information in the Energy Path and the Energy Accum Path fields.

Energy Flow Total (Acc)

Select (...) and select the name of the associated flow total for the energy accumulation from the FlowTotalConfig Select dialog box.

Note: The energy accumulation value is retrieved from totalBlocks[0].curval.

Information about flow can be gathered using a flowtotal record, or it can be supplied by a path. If you have entered details in the Energy Flow Total (flow rate) and, optionally, the Energy Flow Total (Acc) fields, you need not supply path information in the Energy Path or Energy Accum Path fields.

Volume Path

Select (…) to select the table, record, and field that supplies the current volume flow rate information to the gascontract record.

Note: If you are entering information into the Volume Path field, you must also enter a value in the Volume Accum Path field. If you do not supply information in both fields, errors are logged and alarms are generated. Typically, analog or rate points will supply this information but any double precision floating point field stored in the RTDB can be used.

Information about flow can be gathered using a Volume Path and the Volume Accum Path, as it is here, or it can be gathered using a flowtotal record. If you have entered details in the Volume Path and the Volume Accum Path fields, you do not need to supply information in the Flow Total fields (or vice versa).

Volume Accum Path

Select (…) and select the name of the table, record, and field that supplies the total amount of gas that has flowed for the gas day. Typically, analog or rate records will supply this information but any double precision floating point field stored in the RTDB can be used.

Notes: If you are entering information into the Volume Path field, you must also enter a value for the Volume Accum Path field. If you do not supply information in both fields, errors are logged and alarms are generated.

Information about flow can be gathered using a Volume Path and the Volume Accum Path, as it is here, or it can be gathered using a flowtotal record. If you have entered details in the Volume Path and the Volume Accum Path fields, you do not need to supply information in the Volume Flow Total fields (or vice versa).

Volume Flow Total (Flow rate)

Select (...) and select the name of the associated flow total for the volume accumulation from the FlowTotalConfig Select dialog box.

Note: The volume accumulation value is retrieved from totalBlocks[0].curval.

Information about flow can be gathered using a flowtotal record, as it is here, or it can be supplied by a path. If you have entered details in the Volume Flow Total (flow rate) and, optionally, the Volume Flow Total (Acc) fields, you need not supply path information in the Volume Path or Volume Accum Path fields.

Volume Flow Total (Acc)

Select (...) and select the name of the associated flow total for the volume accumulation from the FlowTotalConfig Select dialog box.

Note: The volume accumulation value is retrieved from totalBlocks[0].curval.

Information about flow can be gathered using a flowtotal record, as it is here, or it can be supplied by a path. If you have entered details in the Volume Flow Total (flow rate) and, optionally, the Volume Flow Total (Acc) fields, you need not supply path information in the Volume Path or Volume Accum Path fields.

Gas Quality

Select (...) and select the name of the associated gasquality record from the gasquality Select dialog box.

Default Heating Value

Enter the default heating value.

Upstream Pressure

Select (…) and select the name of the analog record representing the upstream pressure from the Analog Select dialog box.

Downstream Pressure

Select (...) and select the name of the analog record representing the downstream pressure from the Analog Select dialog box.
