The system generates alarms based on when the projected volume deviates from the nominated volume. You can enable percent deviation alarming by executing the following procedure.

To enable percent deviation alarming

  • On the Gas Contract Alarm Limits dialog box, select the Enabled checkbox under % Deviation Alarming.

% Deviation Alarming is now enabled.

Enabling deviation alarming on the GCN Alarm Limits dialog

When % Deviation Alarming is enabled, GCN generates a HiHi (HighHigh), Hi (High), Lo (Low), or LoLo (LowLow) alarm when the difference between the nomination and the projected value exceeds the alarm limit percentage deadbands, as configured in the Alarm Limits.

If the Enabled checkbox under % Deviation Alarming is not selected, the system generates a HighHigh, High, Low, or LowLow alarm when there is a difference between the nomination and projected value that exceeds alarm limit deadband value, as configured in the High, Low, HighHigh, and LowLow fields.
