Modify the Gas Day Nomination cycles

You can modify the Gas Day Nomination Cycle settings by executing the following procedure. There are a few rules that must be followed in order to achieve success:

• The cycle names for ONT and EVE cycle enumerations cannot be changed.

A maximum of 10 cycles are allowed.

• Cycle names must match those in the cycle enumeration in the GCN database JSON file. The default is ONT, EVE, ID1-8.

• ONT and TIM are synonymous in regards to schedule configuration. Either can be used, but the database uses ONT.

To modify the Gas Day Nomination Cycle properties

1. As required, copy the RealTime_GCN.json setting file from the source directory to the target directory as follows:

   • Source: %DNAInstallRoot%\AVEVA\DNA\RealTime\config\Settings\RealTime_GCN.json

   • Target: %DNADataRoot%\AVEVA\DNA\RealTime\config\Settings\RealTime_GCN.json

2. In the target directory, open the RealTime_GCN.json setting file in the text editor of your choice.

3. Navigate to the following line and modify it as required:

   "GCN_NOMINATION_SCHEDULE": "EVE,2200,0900,ID1,1400,1700,ID2,2045,2100,ONT,1630,0000"

   Nomination Cycle	Deadline for Schedule	Nomination Cycle Start Time
   ONT	16:30 (4:30P.M.)	Ignore (not applicable)
   EVE	22:00 (10:00 P.M.)	09:00 (9:00 A.M. the next day).
   ID1	14:00 (2:00 P.M. the next day).	17:00 (5:00 P.M. the next day).
   ID2	20:45 (8:45P.M. the next day).	21:00 (9:00 P.M. the next day).

   Important: Except for "ONT", the Nomination cycle start times are in ascending order.The start time for "ID1", for example, is later than the start time for "EVE". Meanwhile, schedule deadlines are ahead of start times. In the example above, you must enter a nomination for "EVE" before the 22:00 P.M. deadline, which is ahead of the 09:00 A.M. start time the next day.

   1. Modify the times for the schedule deadlines as desired.

   2. Modify the nomination cycle start times as desired.

   3. To add an additional nomination cycle, use the following string and add it after the nomination with the start time that is earlier than the cycle you want to add:

      ID3,DeadlineForSchedule,NominationCycleStartTime

      For example:

      "GCN_NOMINATION_SCHEDULE": " ONT,1630,0000,EVE,2200,0900,ID1,1400,1700,ID2,2045,2100,ID3,2400,0000"

4. Save the file.

5. Restart the RealTime service.
