The Gasmeter RealTime Data dialog box provides information about the data that is being received from the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), or being calculated locally (for host-calculated meters). The Gasmeter RealTime Data dialog box is used by the following windows:
-
Gas meters appearing on the Gas Meter Summary window.
-
Linepack meters appearing on the Linepack Meter Summary window.
The information provided on the Gasmeter Realtime Data dialog is designed to provide the current information being received from the RTU as well as average calculations, and integration information for host-calculated meters.
-
The Averages section displays both hourly and daily average values.
-
The Integrations section displays an integrated average calculation. This helps you achieve a more accurate average, providing some middle-ground between the traditional average calculation, while allowing you to account for the most recent values being provided by the host-calculated inputs.
-
The value being integrated is received as an hourly value. During integration, the value is divided by 60 minutes. The result is then, in turn, added to the pre-existing hourly value.
-
Host-calculated meters will now create integrations regardless of whether the data is stale.
-
The integration being performed is calculating the portion of the value relative to the time since the last integration calculation took place. The frequency at which the integration calculation takes place is based on the cycle time, which is 60 seconds by default. This can be re-configured through the cycle time parameter for the AVEVA Pipeline Operations for Gas monitoring processes. To change the default cycle time, contact your service provider.
-
In the case where the default cycle time is used, the divisor would be 60 minutes. The actual calculation is defined like this:

Depending on the settings that your administrator has implemented in your system, stale data can be treated in one of two ways:
-
By default, when host-calculated data is sent to AVEVA Measurement Advisor, it marks the data as Invalid if any of the input points to the calculation were stale at any time during the calculation period.
-
If your administrator has it configured, host-calculated data will be sent to AVEVA Measurement Advisor with an unassigned data quality and AVEVA Measurement Advisor will assign the data quality based on the processing of the data.
