Nominated Volume
As described in the description for the Calc Vol or Eng setting on the Gascontract Row Edit: Contract Values tab, if you've selected Energy as your input unit, the Energy is converted to a Volume by the system, using the configured Gas Quality or default heating value. The equation used to perform the calculation is displayed below.

Where:
-
Vnom = Nominated volume for the day.
-
Enom = Nominated energy for the day.
-
HV = Gross Heating value retrieved from the configured Gas Quality (GQ).
Flow Rate
The Gas Contract Nomination (GCN) application calculates the flow rate required to meet the nominated volume according to the following equation:

Where:
-
Qneed = Required, daily flow rate to meet nominated volume.
-
Vnom = Nominated volume.
-
Vacc = Accumulated Volume.
-
hremain = Hours remaining in the gas day.
Projected Volume
The Gas Contract Nomination (GCN) application calculates the projected volume according to the following equation:

Where:
-
Vproj = Projected volume.
-
Qcur = Current, instantaneous, daily flow rate.
-
hremain = Hours remaining in the gas day.
-
Vacc = Accumulated volume.
Batch Hour
The Gas Contract Nomination (GCN) application calculates the batch hour which is the number of hours required to meet the nomination.
When the hourly flow rate is less than (<) .000001, the batch hour will be set to 9999.
