Upload training images from a live camera or webcam

You can upload images for training from a live camera or webcam by taking snapshots.
Before you upload images, first connect to a network camera or web camera, and then capture snapshots from the live feed.
To upload images from a live camera

On the Train your AI page, from the Import Data side sheet, select the Live Camera tab.

Select + New.
The New Camera page appears.

From the Camera Type list, select Network.

In the Camera Name box, enter a camera name.

In the URL box, enter the URL.

Select Save.

From the Cameras page, select the configured camera.
The live camera displays the live feed.
You can now capture snapshots from the live feed.
You can also upload images from a Basler camera by selecting Basler from the Camera Type and providing the URL or IP.
To upload images from a webcam

On the Train your AI page, from the Import Data side sheet, select the Live Camera tab.

Select + New.
The New Camera page appears.

From the Camera Type list, select Webcam.

In the Camera Name box, enter a name for the camera.

From the Webcam dropdown list, select the camera.
The dropdown list contains all connected cameras.

Select Save.

From the Cameras page, select the configured camera.

The webcam displays the live feed. You can now capture snapshots from this live feed.
Capturing snapshots from the live stream
Images can be captured from the live feed by selecting a snapshot manually or automatically.

To capture screenshots from a live feed

Optional: To select a snapshot manually, select Snapshot.
The count of images displayed on the card updates with every snapshot.

Optional: To capture a snapshot automatically:

Enter a value in the Frames per second box.

Select Start.

Select Stop to stop capturing images.
At the specified interval, the live camera captures and uploads the images.
The total number of captured images display on the card. The images are also included in a new dataset. The dataset is given a name with the format: cameraname_ISOdate.
