AVEVA Vision AI Assistant creates a set of security roles and local Microsoft Windows user groups on a computer during installation. By default, the local Microsoft Windows user groups are associated with these security roles as members. Each role provides a different level of access to features, applications, and resources. The groups created are:
-
AVEVA.VisionService.Administrators – This should include users that can create templates, skills, and update application settings. This group is assigned the 'Vision Administrators' privilege which equates to a write privilege.
-
AVEVA.VisionService.Users – This should include users that can view prediction results. This group is assigned the 'Vision Users' privilege which equates to a read privilege.
Add users to one or both the groups, depending on the tasks that they need to perform.
