Application tokens

Before using the programmatic camera option, you need to generate an API Token to securely access the AVEVA Vision AI Assistant REST API. You need administrator privileges to create an application token.

To generate an API token

1. Navigate to the Application Tokens page.

2. Select +.

3. In the Application Name box, enter a name for the token.

   The box allows for a maximum length of 15 alphanumeric characters.

4. Select Set Expiration to set the number of days after which the token expires:

   1. Select the Day or Hour from the dropdown list.

   2. Enter a value to represent the number of days or hours.

5. Select Confirm.

6. Select (Copy) to copy the token to the clipboard.

   Use the token within the external script/program to access the API.

7. Optional: Select (Delete) to delete the application token.
