Connect to AVEVA Insight Newsfeed notification system

After configuring and deploying the skill, the alarms can be set up to directly display in the AVEVA Insight Newsfeed. The values sent to Insight are the image, asset name, a short description of the anomaly, and the timestamp when the anomaly was identified.

Perform the following steps to display alarms:

1. Obtain the AVEVA Insight security token.

2. Configure the AVEVA Insight security token.

3. Enable the skill to publish news stories.

4. View the alarms in AVEVA Insight.

To obtain the AVEVA Insight security token

• Contact the AVEVA Insight Administrator to obtain a security token.

To configure the AVEVA Insight security token

• Configure the security token obtained from AVEVA Insight in AVEVA Vision AI Web Client. For more information, see Connect to AVEVA Insight – News tab.

To enable the skill to publish news stories

5. Navigate to the skill for which the alarms need to be published to AVEVA Insight.

6. On the Skills Properties side sheet, select the Publish to Insight tab.

7. Turn on the Publish to Insight switch.

   

8. To publish only news stories to AVEVA Insight, select None for the Data Source box.

9. Select the Asset to which the alarms should be published to in AVEVA Insight.

10. Enter the following values to configure the News Story Frequency:

    1. New Story Interval – Select a value to represent the interval value. For example, 3 days or 40 minutes.

    2. News Story Interval Type – Select between minutes, hours, and days.

    3. Publish Rate – Select a value to represent the maximum number of stories to publish to the newsfeed.

       At the designated interval, the number of stories selected publishes to AVEVA Insight. These properties help control the notifications published to AVEVA Insight.

       For example, News Story Interval: 1; News Story Interval Type: hours; Maximum number of stories: 10. This signifies that every 1 hour the first 10 anomaly notifications publishes to AVEVA Insight. Any anomalies exceeding the maximum number is discarded.

       

11. Select Update.

To view the Alarms in AVEVA Insight

12. In AVEVA Insight, navigate to the Home page.

13. Search for the asset configured to receive the alarms.

14. Select the asset, and then view the alarms in the newsfeed.
