Working with Work Orders

You can create work orders and assign them to a line.

Creating a work order in MES Web Portal and assigning it to a line also creates the necessary data entry jobs for all entities associated with the line. Unlike work orders created using MES Client and worked using MES Operator, there is no correlation to a process and therefore no concept of a bill of material. There is only the produced item of the work order and the quantities (starting and required).

Once created, you can change the status of a work order (for example, from Ready to Running; see Changing a Work Order's Status). You can also reassign a work order to another line (see Reassigning a Work Order to Another Line).
