Description |
|---|---|
Attribute |
A named item of data which is relevant to the Class to which it’s Attribute Set may be allocated. For example, Design Pressure and Design Temperature. |

AVEVA Unified Engineering OOTB Content Library |
This represents the contents provided as a starting point and consist of the following:
CFIHOS |
Capital Facilities Information Handover Specification (See IOGP). The specification is intended to be proposed as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 15926-10X. |
Class |
A term used to classify a significant thing in the model, such as a piece of equipment. |
Class Alias |
An alternative name for a Class; used to identify Class information being supplied by third parties. Third parties must be mandated to use the same Class Library as part of their contract. |
DNS |
Document Numbering Specification. |
Document |
Information (printed or electronic) such as reports, specifications, data sheets, and drawings. |
E&I |
Electrical and Instrumentation. |
ENS |
Equipment Numbering Specification. |
Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) |
The EPCs execute all or part of the design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning or management of a Project or Operations and Maintenance of a facility. In the context of this document, EPCs also refers to their Suppliers, Vendors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and fabricators. EPCs assume responsibility for ensuring their handover information conforms to the IHS. |
EPISTLE |
European Process Industries STEP Technical Liaison Executive. |
Equipment Class / Physical Class |
A Physical Class (Equipment Class) is a Class that describes how the equipment is to perform that function by means of its construction. For example, a centrifugal pump is a mechanical device designed to move a fluid by means of the transfer of rotational energy from one or more driven rotors, called impellers (it has a model number, equipment number or SAP ID). |
Facility |
A Facility (also known as plant or platform) is a distinctly identifiable piece of infrastructure that is part of the whole Project (or field, or site). Each Facility (if there is more than one) is likely to be geographically distinct or a platform |
Functional Class / Tag Class |
A Function Class (Tag Class) is a Class that describes what the equipment is required to undertake or to perform. For example,a Pump is a mechanical device used to move gases, liquids, or slurries. A pump moves liquids or gases from a lower pressure to a higher pressure and is responsible for this difference in pressure (it has a function code P). |
IEC |
The International Electrotechnical Commission. |
IOGP |
International Association of Oil and Gas Producers. This is an organization to develop, maintain, and promote the use of international standards and best practices for product and plant life cycle information across all industries involved in making, operating, maintaining or decommissioning industrial facilities. AVEVA is a reviewing member and contributor to USPI. |
ISO14224 |
Petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries – Collection and exchange of reliability and maintenance data for equipment. |
ISO15926 (part 4) |
Industrial automation systems and integration. Integration of life-cycle data for process plants including oil and gas production facilities, Part 4: Initial reference data. |
List of Values |
Some Attributes may have to be present in a List of Values. This information must therefore be a Property of the Attribute. There are two types of List: static and dynamic. Data for static lists may be defined and managed in the Class Library. |
List value |
The actual values for Lists of Values can be managed lest they too must be loaded into the target application. This is possible for static lists only. |
MoC |
Management of Change. |
MDB |
Multiple Database. |
OOTB |
Out of the Box. |
P&M |
Process and Mechanical. |
PCA |
POSC Caesar Association, Petro technical Open Software Consortium (POSC), owners of the ISO 15926 Reference Data Library. |
PISTEP |
Process Industries STEP Consortium |
Property |
A named item of data defining an Attribute. Properties are fixed and can include things such as mnemonic, name, description, data type, default value, and units type. |
