Mature a temperature instrumentation function

1. Select the sensor object in the canvas.

   

2. In the Tags group, select Reclassify.

   

   The Select class dialog opens.

   

3. Select the appropriate class. For example, Thermocouple.

4. Select Select.

   The function appears in the appropriate grid.

   In this example, the sensor part of the temperature instrumentation function is reclassified as a Thermocouple, and the function appears in the Temperature Measurement (RTD/TC) grid.

   

   Instrumentation measurement function components are also displayed in the Temperature Instruments grid, which provides the context required to assign instruments. See Instrumentation components for more information.
