Pressure instrumentation function types

You can mature a pressure instrumentation function based on the type of component used to measure the physical variable. You can do this in the canvas, as shown in Mature a pressure instrumentation function, or in the Pressure Measurement Functions grid. This grid is designed to display the sensor type (or primary element) used to measure the physical variable.

After maturing the pressure instrumentation function, it appears in its associated specialized grid. The grids include:

  • Pressure Gauge Measurement

  • Pressure Switch Measurement

  • Differential Pressure Instrument

These grids appear empty before the sensor is reclassified, as they are configured to not display pressure instrumentation functions while their measurement variable is classified as a generic pressure sensor.

Each grid is designed with a filter that hides other pressure function objects, allowing users to focus on the relevant measurement type. The attributes shown in the sub-grids of each specialized grid are aligned with the corresponding datasheets.
