Level instrumentation function types

You can mature a level instrumentation function by reclassifying the type of sensor used to measure the physical variable. Reclassification can be done in the canvas as shown in Mature a level instrumentation function, or in the Level Measurement Functions grid. This grid is designed to display the sensor type used to measure the physical variable.

After reclassifying the sensor, the level instrument function automatically appears in its associated specialized grid. The grids include:

  • Capacitance Level Measurement

  • Displacer Level Measurement

  • Radar Level Measurement

  • Ultrasonic Level Measurement

  • Differential Pressure Level Measurement

  • Level Instruments Gauge Glass and Cocks

  • Laser Level Measurements

  • Microwave Level Measurements

  • Nuclear Level Measurement

These grids appear empty before the sensor is reclassified, as they are configured to not display the level instrumentation functions while their sensor is still classified as a generic level sensor.

Each grid is designed with a filter that hides other level function objects, allowing users to focus on the relevant measurement type. The attributes shown in the sub-grids of each specialized grid are aligned with the corresponding datasheets.
