Flow measurement symbols

Start the flow measurement design process on a P&ID by placing flow instrumentation function symbols at locations where flow information is required. These symbols are available in the Instrumentation – Measurement Functions drawing palette in P&ID.

Starting with a flow measurement function symbol gives you the flexibility to define and expand the required instrumentation later. For example, as the design develops, you can expand the object later by adding a transmitter, sensor, switch, or other component necessary for the flow measurement function.
