Temperature measurement symbols

Start the temperature measurement design process on a P&ID by placing temperature instrumentation function symbols at locations where temperature information is required. These symbols are available in the Instrumentation – Measurement Functions drawing palette in P&ID.

Starting with a temperature measurement function symbol gives you the flexibility to define and expand the required instrumentation later. For example, as the design develops, you can expand the object later by adding a transmitter, sensor, switch, or other component necessary for the temperature measurement function.
