Vocabulary overview

This section introduces the concept of Vocabulary and its critical relationship with the business logic embedded in the solution. The logic is built on the Dabacon database, AVEVA’s proprietary platform that underpins the AVEVA Unified Engineering strategy.

This section is not intended to provide a complete list of vocabulary items included in AVEVA's Default Configuration. Due to the complexity and proprietary nature of the content, such details are considered intellectual property and are available only upon request, subject to AVEVA approval. In cases where a deep understanding of the vocabulary is essential for project configuration, access may be granted under the supervision of AVEVA Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

This section offers a high-level overview of the vocabulary concept and presents a practical example of an existing Class to illustrate its application, while avoiding unnecessary complexity or confusion for technical users.
