Authorize a connector

For security purposes, you must authorize a connector before you can display its associated data source.

In PI Data Collection Manager, select an unauthorized connector that is indicated by a dotted border.

In the right pane, select the Configuration tab.

Enter a unique name for the connector.

Optionally, enter a description.
Tip: To view additional details about the connector, including version, install time, installer ID, and host name, select More.

Select Approve This Registration and Configure.
The connector is now registered, but the yellow status icon indicates there is another configuration step. The next step in the workflow is to configure one or more data sources.
