You can specify tags to be automatically named or custom named after data is selected. The following topics describe how to configure tag naming in PI Data Collection Manager for automatic or custom tag naming.

Note: Some connectors do not support tag naming. Refer to the connector user guide to determine if the connector supports tag naming.
